"I know I have to go"

ปกติผมจะไม่ค่อยทำอะไรตามกระแสเท่าไหร่(บางคนเลยเรียกผมว่าเป็นเด็กแนว)   แต่ในช่วงวันพ่อผมก็อยากนำเสนอเพลงFather and Son เพื่อให้เข้ากับกระแสซะหน่อย(หาเรื่องมาลงนั่นเอง)   ถ้าไปลงช่วงอื่นมันคงไม่เข้ากันดูทะแม่ง ๆ ไงไม่รู้

Father and Son เป็นเพลงที่ทำให้ผมรู้จัก Boyzone และชื่นชอบมาจนถึงทุกวันนี้   ที่ผมชอบเพลงนี้เนื่องจากว่าเนื้อหาของเพลงไม่ได้เกี่ยวกับความรักแบบชู้สาว   แต่เป็นการแสดงความรักของพ่อที่มีต่อลูก   ในเนื้อเพลงจะเป็นการสั่งเสียของพ่อแก่ลูกชายก่อนตาย(เหมือนหนังจีนยังไงยังงั้นเลยทีก่อนตายจะมีเวลาเฮือกนึงให้สั่งเสีย)   โดยนำประสบการณ์ที่ตัวเองผ่านร้อนผ่านหนาวมามากมายมาสอนลูก  อย่างเช่น  That's your fault.There's so much you have to know.

ถึงแม้ตัวเองหรือพ่อกำลังจะตายแล้วแต่ก็ไม่ได้เศร้า   หรือหวาดกลัวต่อความตายเลยเหมือนอย่างในเนื้อเพลงที่บอกว่า "I am old but I'm happy".   คงเป็นเพราะมันเป็นเรื่องปกติของมนุษย์อยู่แล้วเมื่อมีพบก็ต้องมีจาก

แถมในเนื้อเพลงไม่มีคำว่า Father and Son หลุดออกมาเลย(เพลงส่วนใหญ่จะมีชื่อเพลงปรากฎในเนื้อเพลง)   เราต้องดูเนื้อเพลงทั้งหมดแล้วจะเข้าใจว่าทำไมเพลงมันชื่อนี้

Father and Son ฉบับ Ronan featuring Cat Stevens ถือว่าคอนเซปต์สอดคล้องกับชื่อเพลงเลยเพราะออริจินัลเพลงนี้ร้องโดยCat StevensหรือYusuf Islam(Yusufเคยถูกจับในข้อหามีส่วนพัวพันกับกลุ่มอัลกออิดะห์แต่ถูกปล่อยตัวออกมาแล้ว)
